Building communities has always been second nature to Stephen. He has always generously shared his expertise on guitar building, and that in turn has lead to communities forming around him. First in Lewes, UK and now also here in La Herradura, Spain, where he runs a busy workshop with an apprentice and runs guitar making courses, but also with a satellite workshop at 75 paces from the main workshop. Here, guitar builders can work more independently and take their first steps towards becoming professional makers themselves, having still the master within close reach.
